Purity Ring

I was asked to create a digital experience for the launch of "Pink Lightning", the first single off Purity Ring's third album, 'Womb'.

 

I wanted fans to feel like they were playing an old 2000s point-and-click game, late at night. As they explored, they'd discover the inspiration behind the single.

Most of the photos on the site came from the band, taken on a walk through the woods in LA. I built these into a digital treasure hunt, adding my angel fire-inspired graphics and a loud mix of GIFs and odd textures, and worked with a developer on the build. The site was also the music video.
 

We launched it straight to the fans on Discord as the start of a larger album campaign. The single was covered by Hypebeast, Dork, Stereogum & Electric Hawk.
